Barbados Co-operative & Credit Union League Limited (BCCULL)
The Barbados Co-operative & Credit Union League Limited (BCCULL) is the umbrella organization for credit unions in Barbados. Its primary role is to support and represent the interests of credit unions, advocating for their growth and success. The League provides training, technical assistance, and development programs that strengthen the operations of credit unions, enabling them to better serve members.
Through its commitment to cooperation and financial empowerment, the League plays a pivotal role in driving the credit union movement across Barbados.
Central Bank of Barbados
The Central Bank of Barbados serves as the cornerstone of monetary stability and financial regulation on the island. Its primary mandate is to ensure a stable and sound financial system by regulating and supervising financial institutions, including credit unions. The Bank is also responsible for managing Barbados’ monetary policy, foreign reserves, and economic growth initiatives.
By working with the Central Bank, the Barbados Teachers’ Co-operative Credit Union Limited adheres to national financial policies, ensuring the security and stability of our members’ funds.
Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Barbados
The Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Barbados is responsible for regulating and supervising non-bank financial institutions, including credit unions, insurance companies, and the securities market. The FSC’s mission is to protect consumers, promote financial stability, and maintain the integrity of the financial system.
The FSC ensures that financial institutions operate in a transparent, compliant, and ethical manner, safeguarding the interests of all stakeholders.
